At NZ Technologies, we invent and build next-generation human–machine interaction platforms that redefine how people interact with digital systems in the real world.
Our core platform, HoverCore™, is an enabling technology that powers products such as HoverTap™ and TIPSO™ AirPad, while also serving as a foundation for
OEMs and system builders seeking a true competitive advantage.
We are innovators first—designing sensing and interaction technology that enables reliable, intuitive control through materials, gloves, liquids, and protective overlays, in environments where conventional touchscreens fail.
Our work is rooted in extremes:
- Mining and oil & gas, where ruggedness, durability, and robustness are mandatory
- Medical and surgical environments, where reliability, responsiveness, and usability must perform to the highest possible standard
That foundation shapes everything we build today—technology that works not just in demos, but in real-world deployment.

Our Mission
To define the future standard of human–machine interaction—creating safer, smarter, and more intuitive ways for people to work with machines across demanding environments and critical workflows.
Our Story
NZ Technologies began with a simple observation:
most digital systems are constrained by interface technology—not designed around human needs.
Across industries, users are forced to adapt their workflows to interfaces that were never built for their environment, their constraints, or their reality. The problem isn’t touch versus touchless—it’s that interaction systems are rarely designed holistically.
From the beginning, our focus was on building human–machine interaction workflows from the ground up.
Our early work in mining demanded systems that could withstand harsh, unpredictable conditions. At the same time, our work in medical and surgical environments demanded absolute precision, responsiveness, and intuitive usability—where failure or friction is unacceptable.

Out of this rigor emerged HoverCore™: a sensing and processing platform designed to interpret human intent, not just register contact. By combining advanced electric-field sensor design with embedded signal processing and adaptive algorithms, we enabled seamless interaction using touch, hover, and gestures as part of a single, coherent experience.
That medical-grade discipline remains the foundation of everything we deploy today—from HoverTap™ interfaces to TIPSO™ AirPad and beyond.
Our Team
NZ Technologies is a team of scientists, engineers, and inventors focused on solving some of the hardest problems in human–machine interaction.
We believe meaningful innovation doesn’t come from incremental improvements to legacy interfaces. It comes from rethinking how humans and machines should interact—especially in environments where reliability, safety, and usability matter most.

Our team combines deep expertise in sensing, embedded systems, signal processing, and applied machine intelligence, with a practical understanding of how real systems are deployed and used in the field.
From Extreme Environments to Broad Impact
The industries we started in fundamentally shaped how we engineer.
- Mining and industrial systems required ruggedness, durability, and resilience
- Medical and surgical systems required precision, responsiveness, and intuitive usability
HoverCore™ was designed to meet both ends of this spectrum—without compromise. That same foundation now enables deployment across transportation, defense, public infrastructure, retail, and other demanding environments.
The environments may differ.
The engineering standard remains the same.
